8000 BGN annual doctoral scholarship from the Carol Knowledge Foundation

The Carol Knowledge Foundation announces a competition for the annual doctoral scholarship in the amount of 8000 BGN. The award is given to an outstanding full-time doctoral student in one of the following fields:

• Natural Sciences;
• Technical Sciences;
• Medical Sciences.

The application deadline is December 11, 2021. The competition jury will select the applications and invite three finalists to present at the beginning of the next year, when the new star in the constellation of doctoral students of the Carol Knowledge Foundation will be determined.   

The recipient of the 2021 doctoral scholarship is Nia Toshkova, a doctoral student at the Institute of Biodiversity and Ecosystem Research, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. She is also part of the team at the National Museum of Natural History at BAS, where she is a doctoral student Vladimir Nikolov, recipient of the doctoral scholarship for 2020

The annual Carol Knowledge doctoral scholarship is awarded every year since the foundation was established in 2018. It is a continuation of the scholarship awarded by the financial group Carol since 2012. So far, 9 talented young scientists in the fields of physics and astronomy, medical physics and nanotechnology, engineering sciences, paleontology and zoology have been awarded.
