Call for applications for full-time PhD students under the project “INterdisciplinary Studies for the Development of Knowledge and Competencies of PhD Students in the PROfessional Disciplines 4.6 Informatics and Computer Science, 5.1 Mechanical Engineering, 5.4 Power Engineering, 5.5 Transport, Maritime Transport and Aviation, and 5.13 General Engineering in Modern Research in Mechatronics and Clean TECHnologies at Technical University of Sofia” (INPROTECH)

Application period: September 17, 2026 – October 19, 2026

PhD candidates must hold a master’s degree.

 

PhD studies included in the INPROTECH project in the 4.6, 5.1, 5.4, 5.5, 5.13 professional disciplines are conducted on а full-time basis in accordance with Article 21, Paragraph 7 of the Higher Education Act, with funding provided by the Project at the following faculties of TU-Sofia: Faculty of Power Engineering and Power Machines, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Transport, Faculty of Industrial Technology, and Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Informatics.

The admission process for PhD candidates under the Project is conducted in accordance with the terms of Procedure BG05SFPR001-3.004 “Support for the Development of Project-Based PhD Studies”, funded under the OP Education during the 2021–2027 programming period, co-financed by the European Union, and under a contract between the Technical University of Sofia, the Project Manager and the PhD candidate. Funding for the studies, including remuneration, is provided by the research project. In the event of termination of the Project, the PhD candidate’s studies continue in accordance with the signed contract and Article 21, Paragraph 9 of the Higher Education Act.
