Renovated Educational Facilities at the Faculty of Transport at Technical University of Sofia with the Support of SOF Connect

The renovated floor of the Department of Air Transport in Building 10 of the University has been transformed into a learning space: two of the corridors feature runway markings, while the walls feature the SOF Connect logo and a visualization of the future Terminal 3 at Vasil Levski Airport.

One of the corridors leads to the main aviation hall of the Department of Air Transport, which was renovated two years ago by the Sofia Airport operator. 

The renovated area was officially inaugurated by Jesús Caballero, CEO of SOF Connect, Anelia Dimova, Chief Human Resources Officer, Prof. Dr. Eng. Lidia Galabova, Vice-Rector for International Affairs and Integration at Technical University of Sofia, and Prof. Krasimir Nedelchev, Dean of the Faculty of Transport, in the presence of students from the department.

“It is important to us that future aviation professionals, while still in training, have the opportunity to experience the real environment, standards, and technologies that define present-day aviation. Investing in their education is an investment in the future of Bulgarian aviation”, said the CEO of SOF Connect.

The partnership with the company also includes internships, the involvement of experts from SOF Connect in the educational process, as well as open days at Vasil Levski Sofia Airport for future aviation engineers.
