A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Technical University – Sofia and Aero Technik BG EOOD

On 21.12.2023, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between Technical University – Sofia, represented by the Rector, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ivan Kralov, and Aero Technik BG EOOD, represented by the Manager, Georgi Kanchev. 

Representing TU – Sofia, the meeting was also attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Elitsa Giyeva, Deputy Rector for Scientific and Applied Activities, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Krassimir Nedelchev, Dean of the Faculty of Transport, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Krassin Georgiev, Deputy Dean for Research Activities of the Faculty of Transport, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Vladimir Serbezov, Head of the Department of Air Transport at the Faculty of Transport. Representing Aero Technik BG EOOD, Sergey Kumanov, Technical Director, and Ioan Nikolov, Head of the Engineering Department, were also present. On 21.12.2023, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between Technical University – Sofia, represented by the Rector, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ivan Kralov, and Aero Technik BG EOOD, represented by the Manager, Georgi Kanchev.

The Memorandum provides for Technical University – Sofia and Aero Technik BG EOOD to cooperate in maintaining high quality of education for students and doctoral candidates in aviation engineering and ensuring better opportunities for their career development and realization, through:

- Organization of meetings between practitioners and experts-employees of Aero Technik BG EOOD with students of TU – Sofia;

- Provision of educational and pre-graduation internships and practices at the facilities of Aero Technik BG EOOD;

- Participation in job fairs and other presentation events organized by TU – Sofia, on the part of Aero Technik BG EOOD;

- Organization of public lectures and discussions and providing the opportunity to ask questions about the educational content according to curricula and programs and other initiatives of joint interest;

- Partnership in conducting research and scientific studies in the field of aviation technology and engineering;

- Conducting joint scientific events, training, competitions, and other activities of common interest;

- Increasing practical activities related to the technical operation of aircraft in the educational facilities of TU - Sofia.

The cooperation between the Parties may also include:

- Joint applications for projects/programs in areas of mutual interest;

- Organizing public events to present best practices;

- Exchange of information.

The specific activities under the Memorandum will be determined in separate agreements with a schedule, responsible persons, and performers from both sides.

The guests showed interest in the laboratories of the National Center for Mechatronics and Clean Technologies and familiarized themselves with the opportunities for cooperation in research and development activities and the testing of prototypes and finished products.
