The Technical University – Sofia is pleased to invite students, faculty, and all those interested in aviation to a public lecture on the topic "Flight Testing in the Modern Aerospace Industry: The AIRBUS Approach", which will take place on April 17 at 10:30 in the Tech Arena hall.
The speaker will be Mr. Nunzio Nicola Caccavo - A330 program technical manager, Chief Flight Test Engineer at Airbus, and Chair of the European branch of the Society of Flight Test Engineers (SFTE).
He will introduce representatives of the academic and professional community to a number of interesting topics, including:
- the role of flight testing in modern aviation
- the main principles of flight testing;
- the differences in testing between development and the final product;
- the professional roles and responsibilities in the process;
- the challenges and risks associated with this activity;
- a brief presentation of AIRBUS and SFTE and opportunities for professional development;
The lecture will be in English and will conclude with questions encouraging discussion and active participation from the audience.
