Results from the National Round of the XXXIV Olympiad in Technical Drawing

XIV National Olympiad in Technical Drawing

120 students from across the country, divided into three age groups from grades 8 to 12, competed (20. - 22.04.) in the drawing of this year's XIV National Olympiad in Technical Drawing, organized by the Ministry of Education and Science.

The co-organizers from the Technical University – Sofia, Department of Fundamentals and Technical Means for Design, provided good organizational support and accurately evaluated all participants.

During their free time, the students familiarized themselves with the activities in the laboratories of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, were guests at the Parliament, and took a walking tour in the center of Sofia.

Sponsors of the initiative were: BMG Data EOOD, Autodesk, Aurubis Bulgaria AD, KCM AD – Plovdiv, Alcomet AD, Metalco Bulgaria EAD, and ALFA-MARINE EOOD – v. Gorna Malina.

The students from PMG "Acad. Ivan Gyuzelev" – Gabrovo, NPGPTO "M. V. Lomonosov" – Sofia, and PGTE "Henry Ford" – Sofia, achieved excellent results.

A total of nine students were awarded in the three categories:

First group, students from grades VII and VIII:Viktoriya Kancheva, PMG "Acad. Ivan Gyuzelev" - Gabrovo; Aleksandra Moldovanova, PMG "Acad. Ivan Gyuzelev" - Gabrovo andSava Hadzhiminchew, PPMG "Nancho Popovich", Shumen.

Second group, students from grades IX – XII: Diana Nenchewa, PMG "Acad. Ivan Gyuzelev", Gabrovo; Radi Kolev, NPGPTO "M. V. Lomonosov" - Sofia and Andranik Melkonyan, NPGPTO "M. V. Lomonosov" – Sofia.

Third group, students from grades IX – XII: Ioan Ivanov, PGTE "Henry Ford" – Sofia; Ivan Zheynov, PTG – Varna and Radoslava Zakova, NPGPTO "M. V. Lomonosov" – Sofia.

Laureate of the national olympiad in technical drawing from the First Group was Yoan Ivanov from PGTE "Henry Ford" - Sofia, because according to the regulations for students who received an excellent grade (6) and are completing secondary education in the current academic year, the Ministry of Education and Science issues a special certificate.

Laureates from the Second and Third Groups are:Alexander Naydenov, PGTE "Henry Ford" - Sofia; Alexander Borisov, PGTE "Henry Ford" - Sofia; Boris Todorov, PGMET "Gen. Ivan Bucharov" - Sevlievo and Martin Nedyalkov, PTG - Varna.

For participants who received an excellent grade (5.50) and excellent (5.75) and are completing secondary education in the current academic year, the Ministry of Education and Science issues an official note, which shall serve for their admission to higher education institutions at the decision of the respective higher education institution.

The winners from the three groups also received many incentive awards from the sponsors.
