Students from TU – Sofia presented their projects for reducing the human footprint on the environment in Green Deal Mobility in the city of Istanbul, Turkey

Students of the Technical University – Sofia, under the supervision of Assoc. Dr. Yoana Pavlova, SF, participated in Green Deal Mobility in Istanbul, Turkey, from December 11 to 15, 2023. The activity is part of the international project "Empowering Youth Work towards the European" (Green Deal), funded by the Erasmus+ programme.

Partners in the initiative are Yildiz Technical University (Istanbul, Turkey), Univerzitet u Nisu (Niš, Serbia), Technical University – Sofia (Sofia, Bulgaria), Gazi Universitesi (Ankara, Turkey) and Eu&Pro centrum vzdělávání a praxe, s.r.o. (Prague, Czechia).

The main goal of the project is to develop a toolkit to train young people in new knowledge and skills related to the principles of the Green Deal, which will form the basis of their successful professional realization.

Students Nikola Marinov, Stilyan Ivanov, Yasen Spasov from FETT and Mikhail Serafimov and Martin Aleksiev from FT, together with students from Turkey, Czechia and Serbia, attended a series of training sessions dedicated to the Green Deal, where they acquired new knowledge about the transformation process of various sectors of the economy, in line with the EU's environmental protection goals. They acquired new skills for applying this knowledge.

Students of TU – Sofia actively participated in the activity, presenting their own developed projects for reducing the human footprint on the environment.
