Technical University - Sofia entered the QS World University Rankings: Europe 2026

The Technical University – Sofia is ranked in the range of 551–560 in the QS World University Rankings: Europe 2026 among 958 leading universities from 42 European countries included in this year's edition of the prestigious ranking. Bulgaria is represented by 9 universities, with TU – Sofia consolidating its position as a leading technical and research higher education institution with very high scientific intensity and a specialized profile in engineering and technological sciences. 

At the national level, the university holds first positions in Bulgaria across a number of key indicators, including citation of scientific publications, internationalization of the teaching staff, international student diversity, scientific productivity, outgoing student mobility through exchange programs.

In terms of indicators such as academic reputation, employer reputation, sustainable development, and international research networks, TU - Sofia is also among the leading universities in the country.
