TUES Fest 2024 - the open day of the Technological University "Electronic Systems" (TUES) at the Technical University – Sofia, will take place on April 20 and 21 at the Innovation Forum "John Atanasov", Sofia Tech Park. The business website of bTV Media Group - businessnovinite.bg, is a media partner of the forum, and the media's web editor, Polina Pencheva, will participate in the initiative as a member of the jury.
During the event, visitors can get to know TUES at TU-Sofia up close and learn what makes the school different in terms of its connection with the IT business; the educational model; the strong and united community; the connection between current and alumni graduates; the specialties and subjects studied at TUES at TU-Sofia.
TUES Fest 2024 will be held for the first time over two full days. At the beginning of the first day (April 20), the symbolic 35th anniversary of the establishment of TUES at TU-Sofia will be celebrated. The program for 20.04 includes short lectures by TUES alumni, and the topics are related to the school, school development, and the latest technological innovations in the IT field. This will be followed by the semi-finals of the highly anticipated Battle Bots - 11 combat robots that will compete in a specially built arena. They are built by students from all grades with the help and support of the TUES Alumni Association, the teachers of embedded microcomputer systems at the school, as well as the mentors representing some of the event's sponsors. The day will conclude with the presentation of projects by students from 8th to 12th grade.
The second day (April 21) will continue with the traditional presentation of student projects developed in three categories: software, computer networks, robotics, and embedded microcomputer systems. On this day, the finals of the Battle Bots will take place, and afterwards, at the closing ceremony, the best projects in the three categories will be awarded.
150 projects created by 236 students will participate in the event. More information about the event can be found on the official website of the event.
