Starting today /July 8, 2025/, the enrollment of candidate students after the first ranking at the Technical University of Sofia, Plovdiv Branch, has begun. The enrollment will continue until July 13 (Sunday) inclusive. Documents are accepted every working day from 8:30 to 16:30 in the two faculty offices, depending on the chosen specialty, on the 2nd floor of the IVth academic building at 25 Tsanko Dyustabanov Street.
The higher education institution reports, for another year, increased interest in all specialties. Traditionally, the most applicants wish to study "Computer Systems and Technologies," where five candidates compete for one place. The score there is also the highest, with a large part of the applicants having the maximum of 30 points or only a few hundredths short of it.
Interest is also heightened in the remaining 11 specialties of the higher education institution, which are in the fields of electronics, electrical engineering, automation, mechanical engineering, transport, artificial intelligence, aviation, print communications, and industrial management.
According to the Director of the Branch, Assoc. Prof. Nikola Shakev, the increased interest of candidate students is due both to the current specialties that meet market demand and to the proven high level of education offered by the university.
"The Technical University of Sofia is a leading research university in the country and is part of the European University of Technology EUT+, which includes many established European technical universities. As we know, technical and information sciences are global, and the language of technology is the same everywhere in the world. Our university enjoys a very good reputation in Europe, and the personnel trained here are trusted. This provides a truly very good perspective for career realization." – Assoc. The Branch of TU-Sofia in Plovdiv will accept 380 bachelor's students in full-time study this year. All students will be trained under state order, with semester tuition fees amounting to 750 BGN for the specialty "Computer Systems and Technologies" and 600 BGN for all other specialties.
The higher education institution reminds that non-ranked candidate students should wait for the second ranking without submitting any documents. It will be announced on July 14, 2024 (Monday).
