During its fifty-year history, the faculty has earned a reputation as one of the largest and most prestigious faculties within the Technical University – Sofia system. Today, the Faculty of Energy and Mechanical Engineering (FEME) is a leader in training highly qualified engineers in the fields of thermal engineering, thermal power engineering, nuclear energy, energy efficiency, and renewable energy sources. It also trains specialists in hydraulics and pneumatics, as well as textile engineering. The faculty is also known for its significant role in the accelerated development of science and its practical application in Bulgaria. Four departments are included in the educational process.
