The training at the Faculty of French Training in Electrical Engineering is recognized by the French state as equivalent to training conducted at a French university.

The Faculty offers elite engineering training according to the French model in the following four master's programs:

1. Five-year master's programs (admission after secondary education)

The training is structured according to the model of prestigious French Grandes Écoles and is unique to Bulgaria. It is offered in the following two specialties:

Information and Communication Technologies
Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Automation

Organization of the study program: During the first two years, students complete a combined general module "Electrical Engineering" (entirely in French), after which they specialize in their chosen specialty.

2. Two-year master's programs (admission after higher education)

The Faculty also offers two two-year master's programs in the same two specialties. They are intended for candidates who already hold an educational-qualificational degree:

Graduates of the French faculty at the Technical University of Sofia work as software engineers, telecommunications engineers, and engineers in energy, electronics, and automation. The recognition of their diplomas by the French Republic and their proficiency in French, equivalent to English, make them highly sought after by multinational companies in Bulgaria, France, and countries worldwide.

The recognition of the Faculty for French training in electrical engineering by the French state is due to the accreditation received from the French State Commission for Engineering Titles, which is the only body authorized to approve French engineering training (Commission des titres d’ingenieurs/ CTI). Accreditation has been obtained with the highest possible rating, and graduates of the Faculty of French Training in Electrical Engineering receive the French title of "diploma engineer". Thanks to the highest accreditation rating, the title is recognized as French not only in the Republic of France but also in all partner countries within the European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education (European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education) – Germany, the United Kingdom, Turkey, Ireland, Portugal, Russia, and many others. The faculty is also accredited by the Bulgarian National Agency for Evaluation and Accreditation.

The Faculty of French Studies maintains partnerships with a number of high-tech companies where its students go on to work: PROXIAD, TRIXIR, Schneider Electric, Melexis, ABB Bulgaria LTD, Kromex Control, HP, IBM, and many others. Through its partnerships with high-tech companies, the Faculty provides its students with scholarships and employer-funded internships in Bulgaria and France.

The Faculty of French-Language Education is a member of the Agency for Francophone Universities (AUF). With funding from the AUF and scholarships from the French government, student and faculty mobility is facilitated for the Faculty of French-Language Electrical Engineering at partner universities: U.S.T. Lille 1, ESIEE Marne-la-Vallée, Paris, INSA de Rennes, INP de Grenoble, Université de Méditerranée, Marseille, École Polytechnique de Montréal, Canada, and others.

Over the 20 years of its existence, the Faculty of French-Language Electrical Engineering at TU-Sofia has become a magnet for Francophones from Bulgaria and abroad.
