The Laboratory for Research of Thermophysical Properties of Materials was established in 2013 under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Nikola Kaloyanov within the framework of a project for the creation of a university research complex. It is equipped with modern measuring equipment for experimental research of the thermal conductivity coefficient, specific heat capacity, and thermal diffusivity of practically all types of solid and liquid materials in a temperature range from -70°C to 1500°C. Due to its uniqueness, this laboratory is the only one of its kind on the Balkan Peninsula and is scheduled to be accredited by the national accreditation body in this field.
