European Health Data and Evidence Network (EHDEN)

The EU generates a vast amount of information related to patients, contained in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other types of health databases in structured and unstructured data. The EU-funded EHDEN project will use this rich amount of data to improve future clinical practice and individual patient outcomes by increasing our knowledge of diseases and treatment methods. The project will promote transparent and reproducible analyses, providing valid real-world evidence to improve patient care and medical research. EHDEN will also create a platform for developing methods and datasets that are accessible, interoperable, and reusable (FAIR), and engage a wide range of stakeholders, such as health technology assessment agencies and patients.
