The program is offered by the Department of Engineering Logistics, Material Handling, and Construction Equipment (ELMHCE) and is taught by highly qualified, tenured faculty members. The main areas of focus for the program include: Doctoral students have access to state-of-the-art facilities—educational and research laboratories equipped with modern experimental platforms and test benches—and actively apply cutting-edge information technologies to generate and process information arrays and big data (Big Data).
- Simulation modeling, analysis, and optimization of the structures of material-handling, logistics, and transportation equipment;
- Automated systems for information processing and decision-making;
- Material-handling manipulators, robots, and robotic systems;
- Intelligent systems for diagnostics and achieving “enduring” operational reliability in material-handling equipment;
- Logistics processes and methods for their sizing and optimization;
- Development of logistics systems and intelligent methods for their management;
- Economic evaluation and business management of logistics activities, as well as the legal frameworks within which they are carried out.
