The Department of Mechanics has well-established and strong traditions in training doctoral students in this field of study, which ensure the necessary conditions for high-quality and effective education.

The program addresses the need to raise the level of scientific expertise in order to better adapt to and succeed in a globalized economy and scientific community.

The program fosters professional growth and maintains a high level of awareness of global scientific achievements in the field of theoretical mechanics.

It supports scientific research related to the application of the theoretical foundations of mechanics.

It ensures the promotion of the scientific and professional development of faculty members and their continuity within the department.

In-depth theoretical training in both the classical foundations and modern approaches and mathematical methods focused on the use of computer technology and specialized software;

Knowledge and skills in modeling, analysis, optimal synthesis, identification, and control of complex dynamic systems and objects;

Conducting state-of-the-art experimental research through access to extensive material and technical resources—test benches, measuring equipment and components, prototypes, and computer-based analysis and control systems;

Organizing academic work through plans, programs, and specialized courses to formulate the goals, objectives, and conclusions of scientific and experimental research;

Developing the necessary methodological skills through participation in teaching and learning activities;

Developing teamwork skills through participation in the department’s research projects and initiatives, as well as through periodic discussion and publication of results at specialized forums.

Development as a highly qualified specialist who combines theoretical training with practical skills in engineering, innovation, implementation, and operations;

Development as a researcher in basic and applied research in the field of “Theoretical Mechanics”;

Creating and disseminating new scientific products and applied research results in areas such as: design, kinematic and dynamic analysis, synthesis and control of machines, mechatronic systems, transportation and energy engineering and equipment;

Activities aimed at improving environmental factors related to the propagation of vibration and noise impacts.
