Karoll Knowledge Foundation Annual Doctoral Scholarship Competition

Applications are now open for the annual doctoral scholarship competition of the "Carol Knowledge" Foundation in the amount of 5,000 euros. 

Regular doctoral students, Bulgarian citizens who are not in their final year of study in the year of receiving the scholarship (2026), are invited to participate. Applications from doctoral students working in the field of natural, technical, or medical sciences are accepted.

The required documents for application are a curriculum vitae (CV), a motivation letter, an order of enrollment in doctoral studies, and a summary of scientific work.

The deadline for applications is December 14, 2025.

The doctoral scholarship has been awarded since 2012, initially by the financial group "Carol" and since 2018 by the "Carol Knowledge" Foundation.

Technical University – Sofia has a laureate of the scholarship and a representative on the competition jury.
