First place, in the category "Young Librarian of the Year"

On the official holiday of librarians in Bulgaria, May 11, and on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the "Library Week" initiative, the Bulgarian Library and Information Association (BLIA) awarded first place in the "Young Librarian of the Year" category, to our colleague Velina Vasileva – technical information expert at the Library and Information Center (LIC) of the Technical University.



Professional recognition was received by Velina Vasileva for her active work in promoting and training students and faculty on working with databases from the university's scientific-research electronic resources, the databases of the Bulgarian Institute for Standardization and the Patent Office, among others, as well as for her participation in the initiatives "Open Days at the LIC", aimed at first-year students every new academic year, and "Share a Book", to create a common place for communication through books for our readers.
