„Kozloduy NPP – New Units” is pleased to invite students from the Technical University of Sofia to a special presentation, which will take place on 28.04.2026 at 11:30 in the “Tech Arena” hall.
The event will be opened by the Rector of TU, Prof. Dr. Georgi Venkov, and by the Executive Director of “Kozloduy NPP – New Units” EAD, Petko Ivanov, and will be dedicated to the future of nuclear energy in Bulgaria and the role of young engineers in the construction of new nuclear units at the Kozloduy site.
The presentation will be presented by:
- Bogdan Dimitrov - Deputy Executive Director
- Boris Chirenski – Senior Expert “Nuclear Equipment and Engineering”
- Tihomir Kirilov - Head of Department “Electrical Design and Engineering”
- Viktoriya Petrova – Deputy Executive Director with responsibility for “Administration”
- Liliya Yordanova – Senior Expert “Human Resources Management”
- Matteo Andreoni – Expert "Nuclear Equipment and Engineering"
- Preslav Dahlev – student at TU-Sofia majoring in 'Thermal Engineering and Nuclear Technology' and a scholarship holder of 'Kozloduy NPP – New Units' EAD
The event will be targeted at students from the following majors:

- Renewable Energy Technologies and Fluid Mechanics
- Electrical Engineering and Electrical Installations
- Automation, Information and Control Engineering
- Thermal and Refrigeration Technologies and Systems
Master's Program
- Electrical Engineering and Electrical Installations

- Nuclear Power Engineering
- Hydraulic and Pneumatic Engineering
- Automation, Information and Control Engineering
During the meeting with representatives from "Kozloduy NPP - New Units", students will learn:
- what is the new nuclear capacity construction project about;
- what technologies will be used in their construction;
- what engineering competencies are required in the different phases – design, construction, commissioning, and operation;
- what is the role of electrical engineers, automation engineers, and energy machinery specialists in the project;
- what scholarship and career opportunities does the company offer;
- how "Kozloduy NPP – New Capacity" supports the development of young professionals.
The event will provide students with an excellent opportunity to get acquainted with the most significant project in Bulgaria and discover their place in the high-tech energy sector.
