July is the month of talent at the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Informatics. Talented students from the faculty presented their projects, developments, and innovative ideas to partners from business and industry. Ten student teams had 5 minutes to present their ideas and another 5 minutes to answer the jury's questions.

The jury consisted of representatives from leading IT companies, entrepreneurs, and faculty partners. They evaluated the projects based on four main criteria – innovation, implementation, potential, and presentation. They awarded a total of 5 projects – two for first place, two for second place, and one for third place.

First place was won by Vasko Nikolov with the project Pareiro - a web application for personal finances that consolidates all accounts and transactions in one place and provides AI recommendations for expenses, and SCAE Bulgaria - the Aerospace Engineering Club at TU-Sofia, which teaches young people to design and build rockets, presented by Filip Andonov.
Second place was awarded to Viktor Dimitrov with IBKR Trader – a platform that ingests market data, calculates indicators, and predicts using an ML model, then trades autonomously with built-in risk control. Alexander Kadiyski also won second place with ClipForge - an intelligent system that extracts the most engaging moments from long videos through speech analysis and facial tracking, or creates entire short videos from a text idea alone - with script, voice, and automatic editing.
Third place went to Janer Redzhep and Dimitar Velev with the project SideEye - an AI squad that reads between the lines - a browser extension that detects clickbait, emotional manipulation, and bias in articles read online.

All projects sparked interest from businesses. Therefore, in the coming weeks, companies will open their doors for visits from future engineers, giving them the opportunity to get up close with the work environment, technologies, specialists, and the projects they are working on.
The goal of the initiative is to help with the professional orientation of students and to create prerequisites for future internships, joint projects, and successful career realization.
