Technical University – Sofia - host of the forum "Biblioworld 2026"

Technical University – Sofia hosted the forum "Biblioworld 2026: Information Resources with Artificial Intelligence for Modern Bulgarian Science", organized by the Bulgarian Information Consortium (BIC). It was held at the University's Library and Information Center on April 28 and, as every year, brought together leading global academic publishers, scientific information aggregators, and library specialists.

The event was opened by Mrs. Nadya Terzieva, Chair of the Board of Directors of BIC, while the general sponsor of the publication was the global technology leader Wolters Kluwer. The speakers emphasized the transformative role of artificial intelligence (AI) in knowledge management and academic research. They proposed innovative solutions for data discovery and analysis, and demonstrated specialized AI assistants in the Web of Science and ProQuest platforms, which generate synthesized scientific reviews at unprecedented speed. Various tools for information discovery were presented, aiding in increasing the global visibility of publications by Bulgarian authors. The Coherent Impact platform presented a new approach to measuring the real impact of science on society and the economy, covering over 40 million documents.

The forum attracted over 70 representatives from 40 organizations – members of BIC from across the country, and the speakers were representatives of Emerald Publishing, De Gruyter Brill, Springer Nature, Taylor & Francis, EBSCO Information Services, Coherent Digital, BICAM Plus EOOD, as well as the general sponsor Wolters Kluwer.
