5.3. Communications and Computer Equipment

The doctoral program provides an excellent environment for acquiring specific and, above all, theoretical and practical skills. The program develops the ability to develop, synthesize, and apply scientific and research ideas and innovations, as well as to solve complex scientific problems.

The doctoral program places special emphasis on building upon the knowledge acquired in the “Master’s” degree program.

The knowledge acquired during the program is grouped into four main areas:

Fundamental;
Specialized;
Language Skills;
Methods of Scientific Inquiry (which include methods of critical analysis).

In addition to specialized knowledge, strong emphasis is placed on the acquisition of practical skills such as:

Using specialized literature (including foreign-language sources);
Adapting mathematical models to different systems;
Systematizing, generalizing, and analyzing existing approaches;
Conducting independent scientific and applied research;
Formulating and presenting results in a comprehensible, logical, precise, and accurate manner.

The training received enables specialists to expand the boundaries and/or supplement their knowledge in the relevant scientific field and its interactions with related scientific fields. The skills developed for conducting independent research and implementing innovations ensure successful careers in both scientific research and applied fields.
