The knowledge acquired during the program is grouped into four main areas:
- Fundamental;
- Specialized;
- Language Skills;
- Methods of Scientific Inquiry (which include methods of critical analysis).
In addition to specialized knowledge, strong emphasis is placed on the acquisition of practical skills such as:
- Using specialized literature (including that in foreign languages);
- Adapting mathematical models to different systems;
- Systematizing, generalizing, and analyzing existing approaches;
- Conducting independent scientific and applied research;
- Formulating and presenting results in a comprehensible, logical, precise, and accurate manner.
