"Engineering Safety and Occupational Health" is a broad-profile specialty within the professional field of 5.13 „General engineering".This provides graduates with the opportunity to work in almost all sectors of economic activity in Bulgaria and abroad.

• The training of students majoring in "Engineering Safety and Occupational Health" is overseen by the Department of "Hydroaerodynamics and Hydraulic Machines", which has accumulated a history, traditions, and material base over 70 years.
• Instruction in specialized subjects is conducted in spacious and comfortable classrooms equipped with all necessary technical means – computers, multimedia systems, etc.
• The Department possesses one of the most extensive and rich educational and laboratory facilities in the university. It surpasses in many aspects the facilities of related specialties in the country.
• Computer methods in the design and study of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment are widely represented in educational and research activities.
• The faculty members of the department have excellent pedagogical training and rich practical experience, which allows them to prepare future engineers for real-world practice to the greatest extent possible.

For graduates with a Bachelor's and/or Master's degree from TU-Sofia or other universities in the country and abroad in specialties from the field 5. Technical Sciences, upon completion, they will acquire Master's degree in the professional field 5.13Total engineering.
