The doctoral program in “Locomotives, Railcars, and Trams” is designed to provide knowledge in the areas of design, testing, and commissioning of rail vehicles. The topics of the dissertations focus on improving the efficiency of structures, machines, assemblies, and equipment used in rail trains, subways, tram systems, and other conventional and unconventional rail vehicles. Special emphasis is placed on disciplines that build upon the knowledge acquired during the Master’s degree program. The doctoral program provides opportunities to acquire skills such as:
