The training of doctoral students is carried out according to an individual study plan and includes exam preparation and administration, teaching activities, and the defense of a dissertation.
Doctoral students acquire the following knowledge and skills:
- Modeling of transportation systems using discrete and finite elements;
- Modeling of transportation processes using specialized software;
- System analysis, design, and development of road transport organization;
- Planning and conducting experimental research;
- Processing and analysis of experimental data.
Other knowledge and skills related to the application of advancements in the field of road transport include:
- Excellent familiarity with the current scientific and practical achievements, as well as trends in their development;
- Ability to identify and precisely define unresolved scientific and practical problems or issues requiring further development;
- Ability to systematize and critically evaluate existing scientific theses and to present their own theses, concepts, models, and research methods in a well-reasoned manner;
- Independently conduct scientific and applied research and formulate and present the results in a comprehensible, logical, precise, and accurate manner;
- Disseminate scientific knowledge and practical experience by making it available to the scientific and business communities.
